The Kit

Reference used: Steve Ginter Naval Fighters Series No. 02 These books are great reference, I wish I could afford the whole set of books that he has out there. The kit;McDonnell Banshee F2H-3/4Collect-Aire resin 1/48 (resin, white metal and 2 vacuforn canopies) Kit went togather real well with out too much of a problem, only a gap in the lower area where the wing meets the middle of the lower fuselage. This is the second big banjo I have built, first went to a friends collection and I think this one is heading there too. The next one I would like to build would be a Canadian version then maybe an over all dark blue navy version. Hoping soon someone will do one in injected molded cutting the cost abit. After doing the gray and white navy version I wanted to do a natural metal version and this one kinda caught my eye, nothing fancy just used to be a navy plane then was transferred to the marines.
