Nakajima A2N1-II Type90 by Pierpaolo Maglio
Brand: Fine Molds
 Scale: 1/72
Modeler: Pierpaolo Maglio
AddOns: -

I made this very small biplane in the winter of 2000. Believe me or not it was my first completed biplane and my first Fine Molds kit. I add very small rings in the wings made of copper wire and use them to fix the fine wire used for the rigging. This is the only difficult part in making this model that is very easy to build with no bad surprise. I used Tamiya Spry aluminum to paint the fuselage and wings while Gunze bright red and Tamiya Flat black was used respectively on the tail and on the cowl.

The decals are the excellent ones provided in the kit, you will never know how good are Fine Molds decals until you will not try them! Fine Molds also made a useful photo-etched set for this kit. Unfortunately in 2000 I was not internet connected so I didn't know about it. Without any PE set I choose to scratchbuild the belts wit suitably painted Tamiya tape and added some details made with copper wire and sprue. The propeller looks so shining since it is made of white metal. I just polish it and add the appropriate decals.
