HMS Invincible by Bob O'Connor
Brand: DML
 Scale: 1/700
Modeler: Bob O'Connor
 AddOns: WEM PE Set

This is the DML kit of the Royal Navy’s famous HMS Invincible. Other than removing the lower hull by sawing it off and smoothing it with sandpaper, it is out of the box. The kit is a mixed bag of good and bad. I am not sure how accurate it is, but it was an easy build. I added White Ensign’s photoetch set to it, but had to modify some parts because the WEM set was made for a resin kit that must be somewhat larger.

The aircraft leave a lot to be desired, but I did not replace them because I want to use my Sea Kings for other projects. I added a Lynx at the aft for some fun.

I have a representative of the Royal Navy, the Italian Navy (Giuseppe Garibaldi) and soon, I hope, a scratchbuilt Spanish Navy Principe de Asturias, all flying Harriers from their 1/700 scale decks…
