Here is my latest project. This is Revell of Germany's 1/144 E-2C Hawkeye kit # 04012. I used Retrowings resin NP2000 propeller set and a combination of Retrowings RW44003 set and Wolfpacks WP14404 set for the wing fold. The rest of the extras I scratch built which I have listed below. The model was painted using Model Masters Acrylic's, which was then sealed with future prior to adding the decals. Weatering was done with a combination of oils and pastels.  Finally evrything was sealed using MM Acrylic semi-gloss.

Scratch built/rebuilt items:

•Crew entry door.

•Fuselage interior.

•Rebuilt main landing gear struts.

•Added full intakes on engine nacelles, along with exhaust cans.

•Rebuilt main wheel wells.

•All antennas replaced and missing ones added (upper and lower).

•Repositioned elevators.

•Added static wicks to ailerons, elevators, and rudders.

•Cut nose open and built complete PDS antenna, along with landing, and taxi lights.

•Added trailing wire antenna.

•Added wind shield wipers.

•Added GPS antenna.

•Rebuilt arresting hook.

•Added tie down points to landing gear, and fuselage.

•Added wing fold indicators to top of engine nacelles.

•Added arch antennas to rotodome base.

•Rebuilt crew compartment cooling generator.

•Added HF antenna wires.

•Wheel chocks.

•Remove before flight flags.

•Added gold plating to cockpits upper hatches and side windows.

•Replaced wing tip navigation lights with clear lenses.

•Built anti-skip pad.

•Boxed in arresting gear bay.

Happy modeling,

Dave Fassett
