This model depicts a Corsair flown by VMF-215 pilots in the Solomon Islands late '43 and '44.

Capt. Roger Conant destroyed a Zero on 14 January 1944 whilst flying F4U-1 # 590 during a mission to Rabaul escorting SBDs and TBFs.

This model is finished with Model Master Paint, homemade stencils, and kit decals.
